Muahhaha! Thanks for watching! I got the towel at EMS on the East Coast. You could also go to REI or any other adventure-outfitter and they should have it. Its called a pack towel, and its made of fleece and/or chamois.

    Where’d you buy that towel?

I’m planning my first solo trip to Europe for this summer and I love this video. And you’re hilarious, btw :)

hu hmnn you’re kinda soft! those aren’t basic to the T… you can go lighter than that, unessential items. Music, yeah that’ can be your lifeline it can get lonely, a book(small not too big) and sounds can be friends on the road. But the meds, you should learn to go without coz there’s everywhere around, drug stores. I use the same soup for my body, clothes and hair and had gone about without underwears…more comfy without when you get the hang of it.

Hey, can you tell me where you bought your towel from? I’ve been looking everywhere for one that is a relatively good size and the chamois fabric you’ve noted. Thanks for your help!

No other footwear…just those lovely Chacos! They usually do the trick and I can always borrow some or buy some cheapies if need be

Thank you for this helpful video. Just one question: do you normally bring any other footwear or just those sandals?

lol, I was backpacking one time, and I fell asleep in an open field beside my bag, becasue I was too lazy to open up my tent. When I woke up, My pack, shoes, hat, and camera were gone, and some guy was trying to pull my pants off without waking me. I was about to go home, when some lady told me that she seen a man with a big pack and stuff. I paid him 50 bucks american and he gave it back. I jyust cant believe I didn’t wake up earlier!

Having travelled 35 countries: Six trips through Europe, a trip through South America, one in Africa, and now living in Asia (and doing side-trips from my Korean “homebase”), I can say without a doubt that this is an essential video for anyone to watch before embarking on a backing trip (their first one or otherwise).

Great stuff man. Thanks for putting this together@

Oh, I, too had a camera stolen — as well as other “guaranteed” travel issues. Lessons learned!
